Problem: What effect does the mass of a ball have on its force while rolling down an inclined plane?
Hypothesis: I think that the greater the mass of a ball rolling down an inclined plane, the greater its force will be. I believe this is because Newton's Second Law states that mass time’s acceleration equals force.
Experiment:
• Variables:
- CV- slope angle of inclined plane, surface of ball, surface of inclined plane, surface of floor
- IV- mass
- DV- amount of force
- Control- ball of no mass
• Materials:
- wooden block
- tape measure
- ball of little mass
- ball of great mass
- inclined plane
Procedure:
1.gather all materials
2.roll bowling ball down an inclined plane
3.record results
4.roll a tennis ball down an inclined plane
5.record results
6.roll a golf ball down an inclined plane
7.record results
8. make a graph
9.clean up
Profinciency #2
Problem- What do different sufaces impact a ball rolling down an inclined plane?
Hypothesis- I think that a ball will go faster going down glass or wood. The reason i think that is because it is smooth and nothing is slowing it down.
-One way that you can expirement how is to make a rube gol-CV:car,track,
-IV:force of push
-DV:how fast it goes.
External variables- nothing off leveling the track
Procedure:
1.gather all materials
2.make the track
3.push the car down the straight track
4.record results
5.push the car down the bent track
6.record results
7.push the car down the loop track
8.record results
9.determine which one was the best.
10. graph it
11.clean up

Problem: What effect does the angle of slope have on the acceleration of a marble?
Hypothesis: I think that the steeper the slope angle is, the greater the acceleration of the marble will have. I think that because it is falling at a steeper angle.
Experiment:
Variables:
o CV- size of ball, mass of ball, length of inclined plane, surface, , wind speed, wind direction, surface of inclined plane
o IV- slope angle
o DV-time of trial
o Control- vertical drop
Materials:
- steep inclined plane
- not steep inclined plane
- stopwatch
- marble
- tape measure
Procedure:
1.gather all materials
2.set up steep inclined plane
3.roll marble down inclined plane and time it
4.record results
5.do 2 more times
6.set up non steep inclined plane
7.roll marble down and time it
8.record results
9.do 2 more times
10.graph
11.clean up

The simple machine that I am writing about is a pulley. A pulley is something that is a circle that is supported by a bar in the middle. The circle can spin around. It can be used to lift things or pull things. It can be used by putting a rope through it, and it can be attached to something on one side and have somebody pull it on another side to lift something.

Have you ever heard of the saying, "going green?" Well some ways to go green is to reduce power, conserve water, and to recycle.
Solar energy is when the sun makes energy. There are things called solar panels, people have them on their roofs or in their yards. Solar panels are panels with kind of a dark tint on them and it attracts heat so on a sunny day you can get a lot of energy.
That is only one way to conserve energy and help the environment. Solar is probably the best way to conserve energy out of all the other ways. So maybe some day you should try it.
